I’m looking for a CP for a recently completed and revised novel that takes place in the middle ages, a mystery historical with romance elements. Please PM me if you are interested. Here is a summary of my story:

In an age where rulers are commonly overthrown and violently deposed, a princess risks her freedom in order to stop her father’s…[Read more]

Hi Everyone! I’m looking for a beta-reader/partner with a completed, polished draft and (preferably) experience to swap manuscripts with me. This is my 2nd draft of a novel set in both present day and 1876 San Francisco, following a journalist who works to uncover the mystery of an Irish immigrant who disappeared. This is my third novel, so I…[Read more]

    • Hi Meredith,

I think your novel sounds intriguing, and I would love to read it and give feedback. I’m new to the critique scene, but if you’re willing to take a chance on a newbie, I’ll be happy to give you my opinion. I’m exceptionally good at giving my opinion… Just ask my husband.

      I’ve also completed a novel, women’s fiction, at…[Read more]

Hiya, I am currently looking for a beta reader/partner. I am on second draft of a historical novel (a story about two near-orphans growing up in Victorian England. The story follows them from childhood to adulthood as they fight their way through years of drudgery, hardship and discoveries).

It is quite gritty, and it is neither a romance or…[Read more]

Historical is a tough genre to find peers in, yes? I decided to mix it up and term my manuscript a historical mystery. However, I researched extensively and my degree in History cries for facts. I am interested in reading any historical work from romance to mystery if you are interested in a new CP.

Helloooooo? Anyone out there? I write historical romance (Georgian and Regency era) and am looking for a critique partner. I have time to read and comment on your chapters as well. Anyone want to give it a try?

    • Hi Diane, I love historical romance if you’d like to try a switch. My novel isn’t a romance but it is romantic;)

      • Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I’d love to exchange a few chapters and see how it goes. Send me an email of what you are looking for in a critique, preferred editing marks, and any other info you think pertinent. My direct email is diflannery@comcast.net.

  • Hi, I’m just getting started on a novel about a German from Russia who immigrated to the U. S. at the beginning of the 20th century and sets out to overcome the limitations of her immigrant status by joining the Army School of nursing during WW I. Since I don’t have anything ready for critiquing yet, I’m looking for someone to dialogue with as…[Read more]

    • Are you still looking for a critique partner? I also write 20th century historical, including Russian historicals. My books tend to be pretty long, serious, and complex, just to warn you.

      • Hi Anna,
Sure, we could try working together for a bit to see if we have a good fit. It sounds like you are much farther along in your writing than I am in mine. The only thing I have completed is my prologue which I’ve sent out to a small literary journal to see if I can get it placed independent of my associated WIP novel. I have also completed…[Read more]
