Contemporary romance, set in the state of Washington. Here’s a working blurb: Erotic romance author Liz Anderson doesn’t live the scintillating life the heroines of her novels do. Widowed when her hero husband is killed in combat, she’s still trying to pick up the pieces and move on with her life. Set up on a blind date by her well-meaning best friend, all she really hopes is that the date won’t be a disaster. She doesn’t count on him being a gorgeous millionaire, or that not only does he light her fire for the first time since her husband’s death, but he challenges her to look beyond the box she’s stuck in. Local Celebrity Chef Logan James is being called the catch of the county. He’s still reeling from his fiancé’s betrayal and sudden death, and learning to cope with being a single father to a daughter he didn’t know he had until an ex-girlfriend dropped her off on his doorstep. He doesn’t have the best opinion of romantic relationships and has no desire to fall in love again. Roped into a blind date by well-meaning friends, he isn’t looking for anything beyond the one date. He’s hoping to have a little fun and that it’ll get his mother off his case. He doesn’t count on meeting an incredibly sexy older woman who takes his heart by storm. Spending time with Liz, as he teaches her to cook, has Logan wondering if it’s time to open his heart again. Now all he has to do is convince her to give their relationship a chance beyond the bedroom… |

| What is your writing experience? |
I have three books published with small presses. Been writing for over twelve years and critiquing for about as long. My writing is a joy for me, but I also take it seriously. I’m a bit of a seat of the pants writer, so I try to write every day, but don’t always. I can usually write a 50K book in about four months. |
| My writing influences are... |
My writing has strong roots in category as once upon a time, that’s all I read. So, Blaze, Special Edition, authors such as Karen Templeton and Joanne Rock, Allison Leigh. |

| More About Me |
My favorite books are the ones that make me cry. Or that draw me so intensely into a it that I look up at the end of a chapter forgetting for a moment where I’m at. As a writer, I’m honest and I’m thorough. I’ll tell you the good…and the bad. I’ll never try to change your voice or your style or make your book into what I want it to be. But if I see a potential problem, or if something trips me up while I’m reading, I will be honest and tell you about it, because it’s what I like in return. Now, comes honesty time. I prefer to work with experienced writers, who have some knowledge of craft under their belt. I have nothing against new writers. We’ve got all to start somewhere and I’m very grateful to the ladies who had the patience to take the time to teach me. I’m just not sure I’m a good teacher. I also need someone who knows craft enough to tell me if my GMC is slipping and things like that. |
