historical romance novels. Adventure, heroines are “definite persons”, unusual back then. High regard for family, honour and morals, but is wiling to step out and help when ever she can. No shrinking violet. Do my best to avoid the usual “Regency Romance” approach or era. Try to slip in comments on society at that time (i.e. suggestion how one COULD have improved things for others). Avoid the “hot and spicy” aspect of sex, but no objection to an elegant kiss-and-hug type of courship. Attempt to join the romance with a crime/mystery as well. have several written, nothing published so plenty to critique.

Happily married for 36 years (same man!), college grad, worked for some 20 years till was hit by MS. Now in wheelchair, why writing is an outlet for me. Wish it were otherwise, but if I can help someone else cope with life (idea behind my books), then it does help a bit. American living in Germany (for the 36 years) but studied in England.
