More About Me

I work several part-time jobs and work the family farm. Farming and writing are my twin passions and reconciling them is the eternal challenge. I’m rarely more happy than when I can lose myself in a book for hours or sit on the toolbox of my truck with a beer and a book and watch my cow herd graze out on pasture. Have also gotten into welding lately, not sure what’s up with that other than a post-breakup hobby thing lol.

As far as a critique partner, I try to be helpful and not nitpick unless absolutely required. I’m a pretty easy going and happy person with a lively sense of humor so I try to keep things upbeat and light. My writing mentor in college gave me the advice that honest, fair, and brutal are the best policies and my writing has thrived with that type of critique, so I try to give what I get without any hard feelings. :)
