Hi, I’m Rilla. I’m trying not to be excited about finding this site because I want to be rebellious… and it isn’t working. So, yay!! This thread seems to be at the bottom of the line, so I’m not sure if introductions are suggested, but here goes:
I’m a tea drinker (it’s part of my scribbling ritual). I’m a night owl, when I can be. I think I’m hilarious enough that I snicker when I’m writing, and the embarrassment leaves me rather uninspired when writing in public.
I’ve written a YA fantasy novel called “Dragonfly Prince.” It is an adventure about a girl who is taken to a pixie land by dragonflies. Alice in Wonderland meets Peter Pan-esque.
The first draft received good reviews from a small community. Now I want to publish the polished thing. Unfortunately, I can’t tell if it’s any good now, I’ve edited so much. I’ve tried two queries, and I’m really gutless about querying. So I’m looking for some honest feedback to help me tackle this evil query monster with some confidence.
And this is where the peppy closing statement goes.
