    Hi,

I’m currently working on developing my YA novel, which involves a character who is going to try and prevent a murder from happening.
I did a Creative Writing degree, but it didn’t deal with the kind of planning needed for this project. My character (who is seventeen) needs to take on the role of amateur detective and figure out why the other character is going to be murdered and who by, so obviously I need to leave clues along the way for her to follow.

I’d be really appreciative of any help in this arena. I’ve looked at loads of Creative Writing books, and even some on writing crime fiction, but none of them have really been able to give me the information that I need.

    Thanks! 🙂

Hmm, well, what information are you looking for? Are you starting out knowing, yourself, who did it?
