Looking for a Critique Partner Listings, November 9th 2012

It’s been a few weeks since I posted any listings, but it seems people are still connecting via the forums. I regularly get messages from members saying they found “the ONE” on LWC which makes me very happy! Here are a couple from the last week or so, contact them if you’re interested in getting critiquey with them. Have a fab weekend! – Laura

“Working on the early draft of a YA project and looking for a Beta Reader to give high-level feedback on plot/pacing/characters, etc. Don’t need any line-editing at this point, but would appreciate some feedback on whether the story itself is working.

Happy to read in return, either high-level or more detailed critiquing. Anywhere from a 1-3 chapter exchange at a time works for me.

Story tagline: A seventeen year-old girl follows her sister into a strange world where she learns that every fairy tale she’s ever known has actually happened, and that she herself plays a crucial role in the next great fairy tale.

Reply or send me a message if interested.”

I am looking for a CP for the project below. It is 70,000 words. I am very happy to critique in return. This manuscript is written in first person and has a dark dystopian feel, but is balanced by some spunky (ocassionaly humorous) dialogue. The first person perspective and fast pacing make the style loosely comparable to The Hunger Games.

Here is a brief descrition:
Living in a dark labyrinth, teenager Araina’s days are spent avoiding enchanted flowers that could turn her to stone, poisonous gas eruptions and other lethal hazards. Having learned to navigate her dangerous life alone,  she keeps as much distance as possible from her fellow savage Mahk and her manipulative creators. Araina remains stagnate in her misery until she witnesses a stranger emerge through a rippling wall into the labyrinth. Upon seeing this event, she discovers there is a world outside of her confinement.
When the Creators realize she may know their secret about the magical wall, their leader launches an attack on not only Araina, but all Mahk. Now Araina must decide if she will trust potentially deceitful allies who could help her reach safety on the other side of the labyrinth wall.
